Places of awe

Crowfoot Valley - I drove right through this morning mist and was completely blind on my way to sunrise shoot, this pre-dawn light held so much atmosphere, I had to stop and create this image.
'Adaptation to survive' - I suspect this tree on the shore of Horseshoe Lake has a lengthy and inspirational story of survival in Jasper National Park. I can almost feel it stretching and moving to glimpse the sun and take in it's warm embrace.

Stormy sunrise in Banff - Vermilion Lakes is one of Banff's closest lakes, and photographed quite a lot, but each day seems to bring a different light that never disappoints.
The meadows of Mt. Athabasca - here's another shot from up my evening up high on the Icefields Parkway. This meadow is several hundred metres above the valley bottom and out of view from the throngs of visitors to the Columbia Icefield Centre
