Gap Lake

Colours created a pleasing sunrise at Gap Lake just outside of Canmore. I seemed to catch a lot of sunrises this year that just didn't quite hit the mark on colour but this wasn't one of them.

I think yesterday would count as an Epic Tomato! guiding the Black Tomato crew around Banff National Park. #moraine #moonlight #landscape We saw Wolves , Christmas in September, Grizzlies, and crossed off a few bucket list alpine lakes for the Banff stop on their Canadian Adventure.

'Bow on Fire' - Sunsets after a storm continue to blow my mind. There are times when I need a little kick to get out and shoot, and last night was one of those. Crowfoot pass - the variable light from storms creates magical lighting conditions with light rays constantly sweeping across peaks and valleys. If you ever have the chance to hike here in the summer, don't pass it up! It's classic Rockies at its best for very little effort.

Golden Fall - if you've never been to the Lake Louise and Moraine Lake areas this time of year, put it on your bucket list. It's an amazing sight. The larches also start to lose their needles and walking amongst them they can 'snow' their golden bounty down on you.
