Booting up
This year saw some firsts in the way of Backcountry skiing adventures, this was a perfect spring day climbing and skiing one of the classic Highway 93N couloirs on Mt.Chephren
To be Local
A good friend decided that this year his birthday was best spent climbing up to a cave known as the Hole in the Wall. A group of around a dozen of us made the trek up. Ultimately we were having too much fun and forgot to leave in time so the last few hours of the descent were in the dark and we arrived around midnight at the cars.
Quiet
A good portion of my year has been a struggle between a life I think that I want with the amazing one I live right now. Moments like this one near Lake Minnewanka rejuvenated my resolve to continue down a path that self doubt constantly nipped on the heels of.
Spirit of the Kootenai
'North Woven Broom' - The Artisans of the Kootenay Lake are one of the best part of it's charm. This composite I created is an ode to the super moon and Starbelly jam! #explorebc #create #artisan #broom
Fresh burn
Forest fires ravaged a large area of Banff National Park and the edge of Highway 11 in Alberta, which left a lasting impression of power in the area. Ash covered everything in a 6 inch blanket.
High level bridge
I tried this year to force myself out of my comfort zone in photography when I wasn't working on anything specific, and this evening spent in the city represents one of these days.
Green Pow
One of the funniest shoots of the year involved 5 models skiing the grassy slopes of Mt. Norquay. I don't think I've ever had this many belly laughs combined with a commercial shoot before.
Edge
This year also saw a return to Mt. Temple with less than optimal conditions for hiking. We saw blizzards and rain through a full day on August 31
Guiding
2014 was also a first year for working as a Photography guide. As an avenue to meet people and show them around this beautiful home of mine, I was also able to reach some of my favourite locations more often.
Gap Lake
Colours created a pleasing sunrise at Gap Lake just outside of Canmore. I seemed to catch a lot of sunrises this year that just didn't quite hit the mark on colour but this wasn't one of them.

Walk in the Woods
The colours of fall were in full effect for a few weeks and I tried to take advantage as much as I could this October. The peak was a few weeks late but colourful as ever.
Lost and Forgotten
I had the chance to visit a few remote corners of the prairies that had some great treasures like this truck.
Run
Adventure photography is one of my favourite types of work and a Sunglasses company contacted me for a Catalog shoot where we did everything from Running to Fly-fishing and Climbing.
