Merry Christmas to all my friends local and international, I hope this holiday you end up somewhere on an adventure you didn't expect.

Crowfoot pass - the variable light from storms creates magical lighting conditions with light rays constantly sweeping across peaks and valleys. If you ever have the chance to hike here in the summer, don't pass it up! It's classic Rockies at its best for very little effort.

Topside - Eerie Fog rolls off the ridgeline of Bow Peak that made the summit a beautiful and lonely place to be

Looking forward to scenes like this soon! View of the Transcanada from c-level cirque up on Cascade Mountain

Hillsdale Meadows - low fog and nicely layered trees make this area a favourite of mine for dramatic landscapes

Frost on Car 2 - By popular request, here's another from my frost series

Roadtrips! what do you have planned for this upcoming winter? #neverstopexploring #skiitall #rollingstone

Island Lake - A great morning at Island Lake, eerie as always, it seems like the lake is always calm and mysterious

The Horse Corral near Cavell lake allows horses to drink in the crystal clear water beneath Mt Edith Cavell

'Completion' - One more shot from the prairies, last light on the farm.

Harvested - this barn has had it's time, and now like the crops still surrounding it, it's also being harvested for new furniture and buildings
devans_20131109-308
Skeleton of the past - a stripped barn stubbronly stands despite the siding being removed. Winter was about to set in here on recently harvested fields of the bread basket of Saskatchewan's prairies. See more of the prairies here on my website: ghttp://www.danevansmedia.com/Landscapes/Saskatchewan

Have a ski race to shoot? Hire me shoot it! I love these Nancy Greene kids!

Burnt - Went for a walk around the burn near Storm Mountain, I love how the mountains remain unchanged with so much variation in the stages of life on the forest floor

Line of drifts - snow catches and swirls around intricate shapes of petrified wood which hide their true form under rounded softness

Stoked to hear that my friends at Lake Louise broke their all time snow record this year: http://www.skilouise.com/news-and-info/media/news/ It was (and still is) a great year!

YES! Eddie Hunter is one of the legends of banff. Great to finally see the final edits that came from @sherpascinema and @NoahMaisonet! Here's a behind the scenes shot from the filming last March.

Contours of Crowfoot - Winter is coming back and I'm stoked! Anyone have any sweet objectives lined up for the winter? #snow #skiing

Transport - the textures of snow and time combine to leave their mark on the mountains. #banff #snow #blackandwhite #landscape I enjoy that this exact picture can never be taken again as the canvas is wiped clean with every change of season.
